About Immer
Immer answers tax and bookkeeping questions for people who keep books and prepare returns in Canada — and answers them only from official publications, with the document and its date beside every fact.
Why it exists
A bookkeeper's question usually has an answer somewhere in a CRA guide, a form's instructions or a provincial bulletin. Finding the right page, for the right year, takes time; a general AI chat answers quickly but cannot say where its answer comes from, and sometimes invents one. Immer was built to do the first part fast and the second part never: search the official documents, answer from them, and show exactly which one, of which date, says so.
How it is run
- Only reviewed official sources. The catalogue holds CRA and provincial forms, guides, legislation, bulletins and rate tables. See what it reads.
- A source and a date on every fact. If the catalogue does not cover a question, it says "This is not in the reviewed knowledge base." instead of guessing.
- Nothing changes without a person. Publishers are checked every week; a changed document becomes citable only after it has been read and approved. See the changes log.
- Client data stays in Canada. Stored in Montreal; identifiers are masked before anything is sent to the AI model. Read the privacy policy.
What it is not
Immer does not file returns, does not connect to accounting software, and does not give professional advice. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Canada Revenue Agency or any other government body. It does not cover Quebec's own returns and taxes, US returns, court decisions or accounting standards.
Who makes it
Immer is created and operated by Anton Pazynych. The name is the German word for "always"; the brand line is "Ask Immer". It answers in English, Ukrainian and Polish. Write to hello@askimmer.ca with questions, corrections or a request for access.
Have a question this page does not answer?
Ask Immer. It searches the same official publications, cites each one with its date, and says so when they do not cover your question.
